When is the Challenge?
On November 1st, we’ll gather for our first sanga to discuss the glories of Bhishma Panchaka and learn how to make a sankalpa, how to start our Bhisma Panchaka vrata. We will also go over the fasting details and have a question and answer session.
From November 2nd–5th, we begin the vrata, following our Challenge Calendars along with the fasting.
Finally, on November 5th, we will break our Bhisma Panchaka vrata at sunset and come together for our final sanga.
This year’s challenge includes 5 things:
1. Fasting
2. Practicing bhakti with our calendars
3. Sharing bhakti with others
4. Offering Special items to the Lord as described in Garuda Puran
5. Joining our online classes

What is the challenge about?
The Bhisma Panchaka fast or vrata is recommended by our acharyas in the Hari bhakti vilas.
But this challenge is not only about fasting but also deepening our sadhana which is why we have also prepared 3 levels of calendars with 5 devotional activities to do.
And this year we have added a bonus activity. Krishna is pleased when we take steps towards Him but He will be more pleased if we also try to share His love with others too! That's why this challenge is about doing both - practicing bhakti and sharing bhakti.

Day 1: Post a picture of yourself offering a lamp.
Day 2: Share a video of yourself singing one verse of Damodarastakam.
Day 3: Post a video reciting one sloka of Bhisma Stuti.
Day 4: Share a picture of your Damodara Sand Art.
